Click here for general directions and maps to get to the UMBC Campus

There will be GiveCamp directional signs stuck in the ground around the campus from the parking to the building to guide you to the location…look for them and if you don’t see them…check your map again to make sure you are in the right place, or ask someone on campus.

Parking is indicated on the Campus Map available by clicking here

YOU MUST PARK IN LOT 8 in the 'D' area if you arrive prior to 3:30 PM on Friday. Parking is free and unrestricted after 3:30 PM on Friday and through the entire weekend in most of the parking areas around the campus. PLEASE CHECK THE PARKING SIGNS for any exceptions to that rule. Handicap parking is available in designated locations at the Administration Drive Parking lot (check the map for it.)

Parking along Hilltop Circle, out in front of the building, is HIGHLY recommended and is very convenient. Just make sure you observe the signs and times for parking.

  • Your computer (WiFi is available to all attendees)
  • If your plans will have you there overnight and you are going to go at it strong:
    • Clothes
    • Pillow
    • Blanket
    • Air mattress, sleeping bag, etc.
    • Toothbrush and toothpaste
    • Towels / washcloths / shower goods (shower access is available at the campus in other facilities through various times, so at a minimum – plan for the 'quickie clean' in the restroom if needed).
    • How about some deodorant? Your team will appreciate it!
  • A few extra bucks in case you don’t dig the food and want to venture out for some other options.
  • A positive and giving attitude.

The GiveCamp runs through the entire weekend. There is no stopping time except on Sunday. Some will choose to work through the entire time. Some will sleep where they sit. Some will sleep on the floor or on various furniture around the facility. Some will choose to sleep in a nice bed and will either go home to sleep or will book a room at a local hotel. There are several hotels around the area, and they can be found by clicking here. PLEASE NOTE: some of the hotels listed on that site may not be very close to the campus. Please check the address and location before making reservations.
