If you work only in Linux environment you can't ignore the biggest Linux' competitor anymore. Microsoft is invading this territory with their flagship product: the most successful database implementation - SQL Server. As Linux professional you have to be ready for that Big Change. For most of you that will be a challenge, which might lead to a paradigm shift and maybe even turning point in your career. During that presentation I'll talk about SQL Server features, show you how to install SQL Server on Linux and introduce the basics of SQL Server management.

About Slava Murygin -

Slava Murygin started his career with MS DOS 3.1 and tried Linux OS when it was available on one single floppy disk. As a database professional he started with Paradox, Clipper, FoxPro, and MS Access. He started working with SQL Server since version 7.0 and continues as SQL Server professional for almost 20 years .
