Topic:

Building SharePoint Solutions in Visual Studio
By: Greg Galipeau

Did you know SharePoint is built on top of .net? Did you know that the out-of-the-box sites you see on SharePoint are just custom site definitions and features built on top of the SharePoint framework? Do you want to know how to build these custom site definitions and features just like the out-of-the-box ones that come with SharePoint to create your own customized sites?

Learn how to do SharePoint development with Visual Studio and create SharePoint solutions. During this presentation I will go over how SharePoint works (from a development point of view) and how we can create solutions in order to create custom sites definitions, features, etc... We will show how tools such as WSPBuilder can improve this process also.

This presentation should be good for people interested in learning how to develop against SharePoint using the familiar environment of Visual Studio.
